10 Years of Munich English Advanced Toastmasters

An Evening Full of Memories, Inspiration and Fellowship

What a special evening! Together, we celebrated the 10th anniversary of Munich English Advanced Toastmasters at the Tannengarten in Munich – and it turned out to be a celebration that will be remembered for a long time to come.

The joy was palpable from the moment we arrived. Numerous members, former members and guests had come to celebrate this milestone together. It was particularly lovely to see so many familiar faces again and to chat with people who have shaped the club over the years.

The varied programme perfectly reflected what our club has stood for over the past ten years: learning, personal development, friendship and a vibrant sense of community.

Shigeru and Anna provided excellent entertainment with a lively impromptu speech session. Their creative topics encouraged many of those present to speak up spontaneously and get actively involved. It was particularly heartening that two guests from India also plucked up the courage to take part in the impromptu speeches. They rose to the challenge with great courage and enriched the evening with their contributions.

Another highlight was Christina’s moving speech, which was dedicated to a special person: Stefan, one of our founding members. In her speech, she paid tribute to his dedication and commitment, which have played a key role in making Munich English Advanced Toastmasters the successful and vibrant club it is today.

Equally fascinating was the contribution from Tobias Schlosser, also a founding member of the club. Although he is no longer an active member, he took the guests on a journey back to the club’s early days. His personal memories and stories about how Munich English Advanced Toastmasters came into being gave everyone present a fascinating insight into the club’s history.

Elena served as the charming Master of Ceremonies throughout the evening. With great warmth, humour and professionalism, she ensured that the programme ran smoothly and that all guests felt welcome.

Of course, the official welcoming speeches were also a key part of the evening. In her role as Division Director, Kelly paid tribute to the club’s achievements and its significance within the Toastmasters community. President Peter looked back on the club’s development over the past few years and thanked all the members whose commitment and passion have made the club what it is today.

Alongside the speeches and programme items, there was plenty of time for conversation, socialising and personal interaction. It was precisely this blend of inspiring contributions and warm camaraderie that made the evening so special.

Ten years of Munich English Advanced Toastmasters have seen countless speeches, valuable feedback, personal growth and many friendships. This anniversary was not only a look back at a successful past, but also a look ahead to a promising future.

Many thanks to everyone who helped organise the evening, and to all the members, guests and friends of the club who celebrated with us.

Here’s to the next ten years full of inspiring speeches, personal development and wonderful fellowship!
