Toastmasters from Munich and the surrounding area celebrated the 100th anniversary of Toastmasters International at the Theater Drehleier in Munich. The evening was filled with inspiring speeches, exciting impromptu speeches and a special keynote address by Morag Matthieson, Past International President. She talked about the history of Toastmasters, her experiences, and the importance of leadership in the organization.
Outstanding performances on stage
Michael moderated the evening with confidence. Mel Kelly (toastmaster and comedian) provided a rousing start with his humorous opening and won new fans. Behzad gave an impressive speech about how the idea for the celebration came about, referring to the historic events of 100 years ago. Anca, Mila and Paul skillfully moderated the impromptu speeches and set inspiring topics. Mikaela impressed with spontaneity and eloquence. Her charming daughter surprised everyone with a successful speech. Edgar inspired with his anniversary speech, which perfectly encapsulated 100 years of Toastmasters.
Dirk Husfeld – Past District Director
Dirk Husfeld impressed us with his talk about the beginnings of Toastmasters in Munich compared to today. It was interesting to see how everything started in Munich. We were delighted that his wife Lusiana was there. Like Dirk, she was District Director in Munich at the beginning. It was a great honour for us to have her celebrate with us.
Heroes behind the scenes
Yuliya, Suntrie and Tamas organized the smooth admission and Tamas took over the time management. Christoph, as photographer, provided unforgettable memories. Stefan Gruss, Past District Director 95, took care of the invitation of Morag, the banners, the awards and did a lot of work in the background. The event was organized by Brigitte with great dedication.

Reiner Schwarz was honored with an Award of Appreciation from Toastmasters International District 95 Division D for his support. His contribution was crucial to the growth of the Toastmasters Club Munich.
The celebration was an unforgettable experience, made a complete success by the great contributions of many Toastmasters.
