A Powerful Preparation Process

It has been said that if you fail to prepare, prepare to fail. Good preparation is the foundation of any successful speech or presentation.
In this workshop, John will share with us a simple, but powerful 4-step exercise that he goes through every time he prepares for a speech or presentation, and it is something that you can use for your talks.

The workshop will be interactive.

Please come with a specific speech or presentation in mind because you will use it as the basis for the exercise that John will lead us through.

  • A new parliamentarian about to support your district director?
  • A council member who wants to understand more about how council meetings work and howyou can contribute?

Together we will explore a district council scenatio and step trough ways of working out how to act and react successfully. You’ll discover parliamentary procedure in action in a Toastmasters setting, who’s responsible for what, and how to work with motions.

We will also share news of our Parlimentary Procedure Community. This group explores ways to develop our practise of lieading through parliamentary procedure, and ways to get involved.
